Litigation

Pieter Delport joined the practice in 1994 and was admitted as Attorney and Conveyancer in 1996 and runs the Litigation Department. He specializes in litigation, debt collections, liquidations, rental matters as well as conveyancing matters.

The Litigation Department attends to:

• Issuing of rent interdict summonses claiming arrear rental, interest and legal costs and eviction applications.
• Applications for the liquidation of companies or close corporations and the sequestration of private individuals.
• Commercial recoveries, i.e. debt collecting services for a wide range of institutions. We have many years of experience in this field and follow a streamlined process to recover what is due to our client.
• Asset based recoveries i.e where a creditor holds security for its claim against a debtor in the form of a mortgage bond over fixed property, a credit agreement such as a lease or instalment sale agreement pertaining to motor vehicles, equipment or other movables.
• Contractual matters such as building disputes and company disputes.
